Analysis:   The Armadillo is an odd ship.  Unlike its namesake, the Armadillo is unshielded.  It can cruise at warp 6.8 and has two phaser arrays and two torpedo launchers.  It's heavier then usual but the extra mass is probably what helps it avoid taking catastrophic damage under fire.  Without shields, it has no protection against transporters, so if you must use it, you may want to keep it away from any ship that has the crew to spare boarding it.
